Spontaneous Rupture Code Validation is a SCEC TAG (Technical Activity Group). The group compares the results from participating spontaneous rupture codes on a variety of benchmark problems. Benchmarks include a variety of friction laws (slip weakening, rate and state, rate weakening, and thermal pressurization), fault geometries (vertical, dipping, and branched), and initial conditions (high stress, low stress, multi-level stress, and stochastic heterogeneous stress).
