Accessing Highways
Hover over the Display menu in the SCEC_VDO Viewer, roll over the Cultural Features then select California Highways from the drag down list on the right.

Selecting a Highway
Highways can be selected by a single left-click in the checkbox next to the name of the desired highway. This same method is used to select a highway group.

Ordering of Highways
The Highways are grouped in the lower table by interstates, US federal routes, and California state routes then following numerical order. Named roads are listed alphabetically after the state routes.

Changing the color of a highway or group
By left-clicking on the color square directly to the left of the highway name, a color selector will appear. To operate this color selector, choose the desired color then click apply. All corresponding highways will then change to this new color. This process also applies to a single highway.

How to find the name of a highway
A single left-click on a displayed highway will reveal the highway's name in the bottom left corner of the SCEC-VDO Viewer. This only works if the California Highway tab is open on the right side of the SCEC-VDO Viewer.

How to use highway signs
Highway signs are automatically turned on for any displayed highway that has a sign available. Signs only appear if the corresponding highway is displayed and will turn off as the highways are turned off. Press the "Turn Highway Signs Off/On" button directly below the Individual Highways table to turn all activated signs on or off.
